Public Health Strategic Partnerships

Public Health Strategic Partnerships

The development of national public health department accreditation has involved, and is supported by, public health leaders, practitioners, and academicians from federal, national, state, and local levels.

Funding and Content Sponsors

PHAB would like to thank the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) for their generous support since 2007.

National Applicant Constituent Associations

PHAB works closely with those national organizations that represent each type of eligible public health department applicant category. These organizations include the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), the National Association of Local Boards of Health (NALBOH), and the National Indian Health Board (NIHB).

Public Health System Stakeholders

PHAB’s work has been enhanced by a strong variety of leading public health organizations, including the American Public Health Association (APHA), the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL), the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI), the Public Health Foundation (PHF), the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA), the Association of Maternal-Child Health Programs (AMCHP), the Texas Association of Local Health Officers (TALHO), and the Association of State and Territorial Directors of Nursing (ASTDN). PHAB continues to add to its strategic partnership list on a regular basis.

Organizations interested in developing a strategic partnership with PHAB should contact Kaye Bender, President/CEO, at kbender@phaboard.org.
