Accreditation Appeals Procedures

A health department may appeal denial of accreditation status or revocation of accredited status as a result of a decision by the PHAB Board of Directors.

The Accreditation Appeals Procedures in the Guide to National Public Health Department Initial Accreditation (see section VIII), adopted by the PHAB Board of Directors, describe the grounds for appeal, steps for initiating an appeal, PHABʼs review and decision procedures, and post-appeal procedures.
